BRINGING ADVENTURE INTO THE CLASSROOM – Steve Marsland
What role does fun play in the primary classroom? Why is it that children seem to have selective memories?
With reference to Sequential Memory Theory the session will look at how and why we remember and store information. As well as providing participants with springboard material, this essentially practical session will look at how the use of a Narrative Approach can help the teacher to stimulate creativity and use it to foster effective learning.

MANAGING CHANGE IN GIMNAZJUM TEACHING – Piotr Steinbrich
In this talk we are going to look at two aspects of teaching at the lower-secondary level. Firstly, we will continue our search for balancing exam needs with regular teaching practices. In doing so, we will analyze typical course book activities so as to gauge their exam potential.

Secondly, we will look at different patterns of student behaviour characteristic of lower-secondary learners with a view to establishing routines that will help us cope with problematic cases.
