Undoubtedly one of the keys to developing linguistic intelligence is memory. But learning by heart is by far not enough to master a foreign language to enable children to use in a real-life situation. Research into successful learning highlights the importance of developing children’s thinking skills including their awareness of learning and thinking. Scientific and academic theories can be put into practice at every stage of a lesson of English: input, output and assessment. The workshop will focus on classroom activities and tasks for children that aim at developing their thinking and linguistic skills at the same time.
