THE PEDAGOGY OF CREATIVITY – Peter Moran


We have all watched children play and seen their instinctive creativity and natural curiosity and many of us, as children or as adults, have experienced the extinguishing of that creativity in the classroom. Striving for a balance between control and creativity - between allowing the children the freedom to explore and the importance of setting a direction for their learning - is a challenge for us all. This session will look at what creativity involves in the primary classroom and how we can encourage it and direct it. The session will include practical examples of activities which can be used to develop creativity in all four skills.

A MULTI- LAYERED APPROACH TO EXAM PREPARATION – Rob Dean


This session will consider the implications of the new exams for gymnazjum, and look at ways in which we can provide appropriate practice of the various task types whilst broadening our students’ cultural outlook and knowledge of the world at the same time. The session will be practical in nature and aims to provide a number of ‘ready to use’ activities for the classroom.
