Come and see how to give your English lessons a fresh look by making them reflect the world outside the windows and by bringing children closer to nature.

Find out how to plan motivating content lessons where the language is used the way children find it natural – to learn things they are curious about. This session invites you to the world of Treetops – a new course for lower primary students, which acknowledges the best of the new core curriculum.

Weronika Sałandyk graduated from the English Department at the Silesian University. She worked as a teacher, teacher trainer and Director of Studies in a private language school for eight years. Now she is a teacher in a private primary school in Gliwice.

“See it! Hear it! Do it!” The question is not whether grammar is important and useful, we already know the answer to that – it is! The question is, how do we help the grammar to stick? How do we make sure our students really understand and remember the grammar we are teaching them so they can use it? In this session we will explore a multisensory approach to teaching and learning grammar.

Tim Ward is a freelance teacher-trainer and materials writer working from Sofia, Bulgaria. He’s been with OUP for over five years now, enjoying both working with teachers in South-eastern Europe as well as further afield and working on the OTA project. He started his career in the secondary school system in the north of England before beginning to work with teachers of both secondary age pupils and young learners in schools, universities and teacher-training institutions in Hungary, Lithuania, Bulgaria and Oman.
