Motyw przewodni konferencji to: "Linguistics: A separate branch or an integrated field of science? Recent trends in linguistic research"
YLMP to konferencja organizowana przez i dla młodych językoznawców. Tym, co wyróżnia ją spośród innych spotkań pasjonatów języka jest nacisk kładziony na interdyscyplinarność badań. Zatem przewidywane są prezentacje z takich dziedzin nauki jak: socjolingwistyka, psycholingwistyka, metodyka nauczania języków czy leksykografia. Konferencja jest organizowana pod patronatem Instytutu Filologii Angielskiej Uniwersytetu im. Adama Mickiewicza.

Young Linguists' Meeting in Poznań (YLMP) is a conference organised by and for young linguists who appreciate the importance of interdisciplinary research and therefore want to go beyond the traditional branches of linguistics. We want to show how crucial and pervasive the connection between linguistics and other fields of study, such as psychology or sociology, is.
Interdisciplinarity of the conference is expressed in its leitmotif, which is "Linguistics: A separate branch or an integrated field of science? Recent trends in linguistic research".
The idea comes from an M.A. student, Łukasz Pakuła, who has inspired both his fellow students, Gosia Trojan and Dorota Jaworska, and members of IFA staff to help in the organisation of YLMP.

The conference meetings will be subdivided into sessions dealing with several research areas:
• psycholinguistics / neurolinguistics / clinical linguistics
• sociolinguistics
• language and meaning
• language and technology
• language teaching methodology
• lexicography
Apart from block sessions, there will also be plenary lectures, delivered by our keynote speakers.


call for papers & procedure of acceptance


Proposals of interdisciplinary papers related to all fields of linguistics are invited. Each paper will be given 30 minutes, including 10 minutes for discussion. The language of the conference is English.
